The quick answer is that your Alexa ranking is unimportant.
First, a bit of background for those who may not be familiar
with Alexa.
Alexa offers a toolbar for download that has a bunch of
features. It calculates 'site rankings' based on how many
toolbar users visit a website. That is, the more traffic
a website gets from Alexa toolbar users, the higher that
site's 'rank'.
Alexa is primarily used by 'marketing' people, and since
its rankings are taken only from those who use the toolbar,
it's not a particularly good measure of traffic.
However, that's not the primary reason why your Alexa
ranking isn't important.
It isn't important because you're presumably after sales
and profits, not an ego-boosting 'site rank'. I'm sure
you'll agree that a website that makes $100 a day with
just 100 visitors is better than a site that makes $10
a day with 500 visitors.
My advice? Don't sweat it. :-) Concentrate on bringing in
sales instead.
