at least they'll direct you to someone who can.
- For financial matters, talk to a qualified financial
advisor as well as to your bank who can let you know
what types of services are available to small business
owners.
- For intellectual property matters (patents, copyrights,
and trademarks), consult with a qualified intellectual
property agent or lawyer. Basic information about some

U.S. Copyright Office.

- A good basic source of information is the
US
Small Business Administration website.
Canadians, visit the Business
Start-Up Assistant.
- Also check local small business associations or your
Chamber of Commerce. They often have publications that
may be able to point you in the right direction.
